Home Grown Home

This exhibition is about design choices behind temporary vernacular homes and their worldly influences and impacts. By exploring three temporary vernacular home case studies, the Bedouin tents, Mongol yurts, and Native American wigwams, visitors can begin to understand how design is influenced by cultural environments. Ultimately, these concepts will be able to be related to present day temporary structures. This earthy and raw environment emulates an authentic environment which is interrupted by smooth flowing forms to create way-finding and juxtaposition, reinforcing the themes of the exhibition.
